Balik Tangway 2025: Rediscovering Qatar’s Cultural and Architectural Soul

ree

UAP Qatar proudly relives Balik Tangway, a cherished tradition that reconnects members with the rich cultural, historical, and architectural tapestry of Qatar. This year, Balik Tangway 2025 marks a special milestone as it becomes the centerpiece of our 5th General Membership Meeting, inviting architects and design enthusiasts to embark on a journey of learning, discovery, and cultural appreciation.

Happening on November 21, 2025 (Friday), this immersive study tour invites participants to explore some of Qatar’s most iconic destinations—spaces that embody the nation’s identity, artistry, and spirit. From the artistic lanes of Katara Cultural Village, to the profound and enlightening visit inside the Abdulla Bin Zaid Al-Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center, the tour offers a rare opportunity to experience the intersection of architecture, faith, and community. The journey continues through the creative spaces of Al Riwaq Gallery, culminating at the Museum of Islamic Art, where attendees will witness the first full-scale retrospective of legendary architect I. M. Pei, whose vision shaped landmarks around the world.

With limited seats available, participants will enjoy a seamless and meaningful experience—complete with shuttle service, food and drinks, venue entrances, and the benefit of attending a CPD-accredited chapter event. All that’s needed is your QID, your curiosity, and your passion for architecture and culture.

Balik Tangway 2025 is more than a tour—it is a celebration of heritage, a revival of shared exploration, and a reaffirmation of UAP Qatar’s mission to cultivate meaningful experiences within our architectural community.

Rediscover. Reconnect. Be inspired. Secure your spot and be part of this enriching cultural and architectural journey!
