Important Announcement for All : "PRC Issues Updated Guidelines for CPD Compliance: Memorandum Order No. 102, Series of 2024"

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has issued Memorandum Order No. 102, Series of 2024, dated December 17, 2024. This memorandum amends the prior Memorandum Order No. 98, Series of 2023, regarding the transition period for compliance with the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.

The key points from the memorandum include:

  • The acceptance of CPD Undertaking for the renewal of Professional Identification Cards (PIC) is extended until December 31, 2025, as per Commission Resolution No. 1908, Series of 2024.

  • The required CPD Credit Units (CUs) per year is capped at 15, ensuring manageable compliance for professionals.

  • During the transition period, specific scenarios, such as compliance with professional regulatory laws or practicing in countries with CPD recognition agreements, will not be covered.

  • The reckoning period for CPD compliance will be reverted to three years before the PIC renewal transaction.

  • Professionals may continue to use screenshots from their CPD Accreditation System (CPDAS) account as proof of valid CPD compliance until further guidelines are issued.

This order is effective immediately and requires strict compliance from all concerned parties.
