As Part 1 of UAP Qatar’s PAFNAM 2025 celebration, the Lakbay Tangway Tour continued its meaningful exploration of Qatar’s cultural and architectural heritage with a visit to the Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center—a landmark known for its iconic spiral minaret and its welcoming spirit of learning and dialogue.
Here, participants were immersed in an environment shaped by knowledge, tradition, and community. The center stands as a beacon of cultural understanding, offering insights into Islamic history, architecture, and the values that strengthen social harmony. Its thoughtfully designed spaces—both serene and symbolic—reflect the essence of identity and faith woven into Qatar’s cultural fabric.
This visit enriched our appreciation for how architecture can foster connection, nurture creativity, and uphold the identity of a community. By experiencing the center’s meaningful blend of education and cultural expression, the tour reaffirmed how built environments can shape understanding and inspire unity.
A profound and enlightening chapter in our ongoing Lakbay Tangway journey.
