UAP Qatar Chapter March 2025 Highlights
Continuing Professionalism, Service, and Solidarity
In March 2025, the UAP Qatar Chapter demonstrated its unwavering commitment to professional development, community service, and collaborative growth through a diverse lineup of impactful activities held across various venues in Doha and online.
The month began with the continuation of the SPLE Free Review Program on March 3 at The Hub, Royal Plaza, providing valuable preparation for architecture licensure aspirants. On the same day, the chapter participated in the PPOQ 3rd Regular Monthly Meeting via Zoom, discussing professional support initiatives and the upcoming licensure examination.
A significant educational event followed on March 7 with the CSSW Culminating Activity and Awarding Ceremony, also held at The Hub, in partnership with the Philippine School Doha. It celebrated student growth and mentor contributions under the Career Simulation Seminar Workshop.
That same day, the chapter hosted another SPLE Regular Review Session at The Hub, emphasizing consistent academic support and preparation strategies for examinees.
On March 12, a new milestone was achieved through the Qabayan Radio 94.7 MOU Signing, conducted at the Qabayan Radio Station. This formalized a partnership supporting media collaboration and community engagement among PPOQ organizations.
The following day, March 13, the UAP Qatar Chapter, represented by Ar. Randee De Guzman, joined the FILCOM Leaders Night at Sinag Studio, a celebration of unity and service within Qatar’s Filipino community.
In preparation for a major membership event, a GMM Venue Ocular and Technical Rehearsal was held on March 17 at Shaza Doha Hotel, followed by a Board of Directors Meeting at The Hub, Royal Plaza. These efforts ensured the smooth execution of the upcoming General Membership Meeting.
On March 18, members engaged in the COMELEC Area B & C Candidate Forum via Zoom, gaining insights into the candidates' platforms ahead of the UAP National Elections.
The chapter’s much-anticipated 7th General Membership Meeting, themed “Integrating Systems in Architecture”, took place on March 21 at Shaza Doha Hotel. It featured in-depth discussions on fire safety, resilience, and architectural innovation with expert speakers including Engr. Alden Cayaga, Engr. Lloyd Christina Peneda, and Arch. Arecles Balde.
Continuing its commitment to community service, the chapter participated in a Blood Donation Drive on March 28 at Wellkins Hospital, in collaboration with Qabayan Radio 94.3. The chapter was later recognized for its contribution to this life-saving initiative.
March concluded with the chapter’s participation in the PSME 1st GMM on March 31 at Dusit D2 Doha, represented by Chapter President Ar. Jason Santos and Director of Education Ar. Leah Bianan, reinforcing ties with fellow Filipino professionals.
