Later in the month, from October 13–15, 2024, the chapter participated in the Big 5 Construct Qatar at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Center. This international gathering provided opportunities for networking, showcasing Filipino expertise in construction and architecture, and fostering collaborations with Middle Eastern industry players.

On October 25, 2024, the chapter held its 2nd General Membership Meeting and CPD Seminar at Embassy Suites, Downtown Doha. With a theme centered on "Empowering the Next Generation in Participatory Urban Design," the seminar featured inspiring speakers and engaging discussions. Additionally, it highlighted communication skills and innovative approaches in urban planning.

Community Engagement and Cultural Initiatives

The chapter celebrated World Architectural Week on October 7, 2024, by visiting the Zwara Exhibition at M7, Musherib Downtown Doha. This event honored Filipino architecture and highlighted the achievements of Ar. Stephen Amoyo, whose "The Waiting Chair" design earned him recognition as the first Filipino architect featured in the Zwara program.

On October 11, 2024, members participated in an event at the Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center, exploring cultural connections between Qatar and the Philippines. This dialogue strengthened UAP Qatar’s ties with the Ministry of Culture and local leaders.

Camaraderie and Team Building

The chapter prioritized relationship-building and camaraderie through multiple events. On October 10, 2024, members gathered for a Team Building and Toastmasters Workshop at Embassy Suites, Downtown Doha, enhancing collaboration and motivation.

Sports were also a key focus, with participation in the PPO-Q Basketball Tournament on October 11, 2024, at The Hamilton International School, and the Badminton Tournament on October 18, 2024, at Parkhouse English School, Meisameer Road, Doha. The badminton team proudly secured the 1st Runner-Up title, showcasing the members' sporting skills and teamwork.

Advocacy and Representation

UAP Qatar emphasized advocacy and support for its members through initiatives like the Open Forum with PRC Assistant Commissioner Lord Louis Valera on October 15, 2024, at Embassy Suites, Downtown Doha. This forum clarified processes for the Special Professional Licensure Examination (SPLE) and offered insights to help young architects streamline their professional development.

On October 28, 2024, the chapter attended the PPO-Q Regular Meeting at Embassy Suites, Downtown Doha, collaborating with other professional organizations to discuss ongoing projects and future activities.

The month concluded with a College of Fellow Coordination Meeting held virtually on October 28, 2024, providing candidates with guidance for their dossier preparation.

Through these thoughtfully organized events at prominent venues across Doha, the UAP Qatar Chapter achieved its goals of professional development, cultural enrichment, and community integration. By blending innovation, advocacy, and camaraderie, the chapter continues to elevate Filipino architects' visibility and influence in Qatar and beyond.
